Historic castle in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon. The hill on which São Jorge Castle stands has played an important part in the history of Lisbon, having served as the location of fortifications occupied successively by several societies, before its conquest by the Portugueses in 1147.

It's one of the most beautiful things to look at from a distance but it's also a great spot to visit, it's an historical landmark
