This consists of around 190 ha of schistous land on the hillside of the River Torto and River de Galegos. The rough terrain of the DouroDemarcated Region is responsible for generating a variety of microclimates where each crop finds an excellent place to grow. The estate was economically sustained by olive groves (for olive oil) until the end of the 1960s. This crop was relegated to second place in the 1970s when vineyards overtook it, and they remain in first place today.
