Levando a tradição do espeto corrido desde os anos 70, com início no Rio Grande do Sul, o restaurante preserva o hábito familiar.
Todavia, com origem em Porto Alegre, a churrascaria Fogo de Chão foi para São Paulo por volta dos anos 80 e já iniciou o formato de buffet, que segue até hoje.
