Gough's Cave

A cave where the Cheddar Man was found

Gough's Cave is one of the two popular caves in Cheddar, and here you can see a variety of large chambers and rock formations and a portion of the river Cheddar Yeo that passes through the cave. It was also in this cave that Cheddar Man, the oldest complete human skeleton in Britain was found.
