The miniseries shows the luxurious life of the Romanov family, Russia's last Imperial Family that reigned until the Bolshevik Revolution. It begins with the accession of Tsar Nicholas II to the throne, the outbreak of the Russian Revolution, and ends with his eventual abdication.
The story of Russia’s last czars, Rasputin’s involvement with the royal family and his influence over them. Their desperation in order to secure the country with a male heir which ultimately reveals itself as one more problem. The war, the revolution and lastly their gruesome execution
