    Siendo secuela del juego de N64, en esta entrega, Mario, quien ha recibido una carta junto con un mapa de la princesa Peach, quien se encontraba de vacaciones en una tierra lejana, le cuenta la leyenda de Rogueport, la cuál habla de un tesoro milenario, junto al mapa, Mario decide buscar el tesoro
