Este borderlands es el tercero en salir a la luz pero sería una historia antes de los acontecimientos de borderlands dos, en este videojuegos nos metemos bajo la piel de los esbirros de jack el guapo, dándonos a entender la historia tras de el excéntrico millonario (Jack el guapo) y sus esbirros.
En esta ocasión estamos al cargo de un programador de Hyperion conocido como Jack. Sí, efectivamente, el mismo Jack el Guapo que llegará a ser nuestro archienemigo en Borderlands 2. En esta precuela/secuela aún no es el todopoderoso presidente de Hyperion que pretende conquistar el mundo.
